Therapeutic Exercise

Therapeutic exercises are an important part of the rehabilitation program. Therapeutic exercise programs increase joint mobility, muscle flexibility, strength, balance, and endurance.

The goals of therapeutic exercise are to:
  • Improve range of motion
  • ImproveĀ useĀ of limbs and reduce lameness
  • Improve muscle mass and strength
  • Improve daily function
Therapeutic exercises are used to treat:
  • Recovering from fracture repair
  • Hip and elbow dysplasia
  • Degenerative myelopathy (DM)
  • Intervertebral disk disease (IVDD)
  • Recovering from injuries
  • Post-operative conditioning
  • Cranial cruciate ligament injury (medical and post-operative recovery)
  • Weight management
  • Arthritis management
